What's the prize? Easy... I'll be giving away a download of Silent Vows. Myra and Todd's story in my time travel trilogy. Why this story? Well, for those of you who read Binding Vows, you know that the story ends at Christmas time. Alas, Myra's story picks up around the holidays. So there. A teaser and a hint.

Happy Halloween ~ Last Day of my Contest

My boys were Cub Scouts and I have this nasty habit of raising my hand when people ask for help... Alas, I was the Pack Cub Master until just this year. But in those seven years of playing and being a kid all over again, memories were etched into my mind that will live with me forever.

In preparation for my two yummy releases for the month of August, I'm giving everyone who visits me often here on my blog a heads up.
I'm giving away at least one free download of each book in the month of August. Here is the catch. You need to be signed up to receive my newsletter in order to be eligible for the free copy.
My Newsletter is sent through my Yahoo Loop. This isn't a chat loop! I will only be using Yahoo as a conduit so don't worry about being apart of yet - another - loop. Grin.
So, sign up early and have one hurtle out of the way so I can put your name in a pot for a free... did I mention FREE copy of either Kilt Worthy or Soul Mate.

Stay up to date!
Okay... I think I've figured out all the bells and whistles of a yahoo loop for the sole purpose of putting out a newsletter.
Whoo and Hoo!!! It seems every little thing we do on-line requires a degree in something.
So, if you're interested in receiving notice of a new newsletter with a link to read a PDF file of the happenings of my author life. Please sign up!
My newsletters will only come once every 2 - 3 months unless the contract fairy is extremely kind to me. I've already sent out my May / June notice, so when you sign up just take a look in the file section and view the file there.
BTW... once my books start being released, there will be contests in which only people signed up on my newsletter loop can enter to win free copies of my latest releases. FREE is always a good price... don't ya think?

Why you should write a review
Okay... now that I have your attention, dirty girls...
As many of you know I write reviews. I do this for a couple of reasons. First... Can you say FREE BOOKS? Yeah, free as in zero, nada...nothing down... Great price if you ask me. The other reason I write reviews is for practice. When you write a review you need to summarize the book in a blurb type format. And when you do this over and over again, you get rather good at it.
Another reason to write reviews is this... When you have to put your feelings about a book down on paper, all of a sudden you realize how difficult it is to do this. So when the day comes that someone reviews your work, you'll really be able to appreciate what goes into the review. Some reviewers write better reviews than others... and dare I say some reviews are down right mean...
...and another thing... If you enjoyed a recent read it is always a good idea to , write a review and place it on the publishers site... Amazon... or simply send it to the author who may be have a right shit of a day and would love to hear that they made someone happy. So be an angel and write a review.
So tell me... have you ever written a review? What is the hardest part for you about writing a review?
