"I finished your novel in one day."

These are the best words an author can hear! Okay, maybe next to... "We want to publish your novel."

But after...

Once the work is done and you're waiting for feedback from readers...

"I finished your novel in one day." Followed by, "When is the second book coming out?"

Music to this authors ears. Binding Vows isn't exactly a short story either. 300 pages takes a bit of time to consume.

So tell me, authors... what is music to your ears? What do you live for in terms of feedback from your readers?

Since I only have shorts out, it has to be, "When are you going to do a full length?" It means they like my writing so well they want to see more.

You're a great writer, Catherine. Kudos!

You're so sweet, Emma. Full lengths take a lot of time!! But they do have a different feal of acomplishment that shorts do. And yes, they take longer to read!

That is definitely music to the ears. I quite like, "When is the next book in your series coming out?"

Wonderful, Catherine! I'd say, when is your next book coming out would also be great to hear.

I'm with Emma-- you got something there. Don't stop writing!

I think so too, Shelley.

Thanks Kaye

A full length is very hard to read in one setting. I had someone tell me they liked my book because they could put it down, go do what she had to, and could pick it up and be right into it. It took me a minute to say, thank you.

I love your muse, you know that for sure!!
