Angry Cathy!

Hours, weeks and months if not years of work and someone is giving my work away without me earning a dime.

E-book piracy is alive and well, this I've known since I started the adventure of becoming a published author, but when the author hasn't even seen the first royalty statement for their work and already the book you've put your heart and soul into is being ripped off, it makes one more than a little miffed! *long-winded run on sentence intended.

If you want to read my work but have a budget issue just stay tuned to my blog. I'll let you know when my publisher is having a sale or when I'm giving away a free copy or contest. Heck, right now Before the Moon Rises just hit fictionwise and is on sale. Click on my link and pick Max and Janet up. But don't download it from any place that isn't listed on my publishers site as a 3rd party seller. Here's a big fat hint... Underground = Underhanded. If you have to be a member to even see what people are saying... you're in a pirate site. If all else fails... e-mail me catherinebybee@yahoo.com and I'll be happy to let you know if the site you're looking at is riping off my work.

Errrr!!!

In order to keep her out of harm's way, he opts to keep her close. When the chemistry between them sparks, Max discovers a completely new reason to keep Janet safe.

When an injured, and naked man is brought into the emergency room where Janet works that last thing she is expecting is to end up going home with him and getting into the middle of some odd turf war.

Max has been hunting for Gormon for some time now. The rogue has been turning people and killing and has to be stopped. Max and his pack are hunting this monster and little does Max know that when he ends up in the hospital that he will meet his mate and find the resolution to the Gormon problem.

Catherine Bybee has created a shadow world of rich characters and a vibrant storyline. The characters are endearing and will tug at your heart while you find yourself immersed in this fantastic story.

Reader Review from Goodreads
I think what I appreciated the most about Before the Moon Rises is the level of belief I had in the characters. Catherine Bybee does a beautiful job of bring Janet to life and from there I found myself getting sucked into the story. It was easy to picture the ER and the tired RN trying to make it through that dreaded last hour before end of shift. I could easily imagine the stunning Max coming along as a wonderful highlight and complication to her day!

In the end BTMR turned out to be a lovely `short and sweet' shifter romance. The world building was remarkable complete and yet not so overwhelming as to detract from the plot. The character were very nicely portrayed and the interactions and relationships did not feel overly forced or expedient but rather just seemed to fall into place naturally, no mean feat for such a short piece.

Overall a nicely written story with a very believable RN and a gorgeous wolf shifter.

Review for Destined to Mate

Blurb:

A feline mated to a werewolf? As a Chimera, half lioness/half human, Alexis Xanthis, has never released the beast within. Until she meets Lykan Alpha, Morgan LeVey. Being near him triggers a powerful need to mate, but is Morgan strong enough to dominate her feline side and still handle the human half with a gentle hand? And will the powers that be allow it?

My Review

Fighting like cats and dogs has nothing on 'Mating like cats and dogs!'

~ Destined to Mate is a fast paced page turner that offers more than the average erotic romance. Forces of two different species of shifters, vamps and even fey folk, Destined to Mate delivers one hot enjoyable read. Ms. Salo talent shouldn't be missed. If you haven't read this shifter delight, then you, my friend, are missing out. One word of warning... Don't plan on doing anything until this story is DONE!

Release Day!

Before the Moon Rises is here! Yeah!!!

Meet Max and Janet.

After a twelve-hour shift in a busy emergency room, Janet O’Brien is beat. Her last patient arrives unconscious and naked. She’s lead to believe he’s a psyche patient off his meds. However, once he awakens, Janet is charmed by his million-dollar smile and agrees to give him a ride home.

Werewolf, Max Ritter notices the sassy nurse when he wakes after a night under the full moon. Unfortunately, his archrival is drawn to Janet as well. In order to keep her out of harm's way, he opts to keep her close. When the chemistry between them sparks, Max discovers a completely new reason to keep Janet safe.

Excerpt:

He kept his smile in place despite his state of undress. “Maybe I can explain my, er, situation over eggs benedict.”

She was tempted, even with him dressed in a hospital issue gown open in the back, she was tempted. “I don’t think so.”

“Why not? You said yourself I’m good looking, and I know you’re curious about why I ended up here.”

Janet slid the paperwork she held in front of him and handed him her pen. “Even if I wanted to, I make it a rule not to date my patients.”

“Humm...” He took the paper and signed his name, then pushed it in her direction. “I’m no longer your patient.”

Janet couldn’t stop the giggle that erupted. “Listen...” She picked up the paper and noted his name. “Mr. Ritter. I’m flattered, really I am, but I don’t think this would be a good idea.”

“I suggested breakfast, not marriage.”

“You’re wearing a hospital gown and a smile.”

“I’ll change. We can drop by my house so I can get my wallet.”

Janet narrowed her eyes. “Is this some perverse way to get a free ride home?”

“I’ll pay for gas.” His eyes locked with hers sending a chill up her spine.

“Hey Janet,” a voice called from beyond the closed curtain.

“I’ve got to go. Day shift needs report.” But her feet didn’t move. Instead, she stared at him, knowing somehow she would give in to his request, and if nothing else give him a ride home.
Something she had never done before.

“I’ll meet you outside, by your car.”

On a sigh she said, “Yeah, okay.” Janet turned away. “How do you know what I drive?”

"I don't know, but I'll figure it out."
