Gosh... seems life is just jumping forward lately - Next week is my release of Possessive and I'm a bit nervous about it. It's my first ghost story. No fangs or time traveling highlanders. So it's a bit outside of the box for me and my readers.
So, dear reader... what are your expectations when you read a book outside of the authors box? Or do you try and stick with only one of an authors genre? I know some of my readers read only my time travel books or only my werewolf books. It's like the two can't mesh or something... LOL - Hey, whatever works! But what's the reason behind it?
Help my pre-release jitters and give my your humble opinion.

Humble? lol-- Catherine, I truly think Possessive will do great! You are the author your readers want. And I think stepping a little out is a very good thing.
I hope you're right, Kaye. I guess it's the voice people are looking for.
I'm always willing to read something outside the norm of an author I love. I have the same trepidation especially since I don't have a norm that I write myself.
Hey Emma,
You do too have a norm... hello... space. LOL
The book will be great Catherine. Just like your other ones.
If it's romance, I'll read it. I like the subgenre jumping to keep it new.
great post.
I woke up Sunday a.m. to find my blog, my 500 plus followers, my 100plus author interviews, and my 200 plus reviews gone. Blogger gave no explanation, but I think the account was hacked. Change your password often!
I have reloaded the interviews and reviews, plus redesigned the blog. But if you could, please hit the "follow" button so I can reclaim the fellow bloggers I miss. I'm still following you, as my account remained--thank goodness!
